The route itself offers breathtaking scenery and challenging terrain with an impressive total ascent of 1902 meters. Waymarkers are strategically placed throughout the course, complemented by downloadable GPX files for those who prefer digital navigation aids. Additional signage is provided wherever necessary to ensure clear guidance at all times.
Participants will find themselves starting from a stunning location at Linkenholt Activity Center in North Hampshire, set against a backdrop of rolling hills and soaring red kites and buzzards. This picturesque setting sets the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable journey through Wiltshire's countryside.
Throughout your adventure, you'll encounter fully stocked checkpoints every 25 kilometers or so, offering a mix of nutritious snacks, refreshing beverages like Coke and juice, as well as water stations to keep you fueled and energized. A dedicated medical team will also be on hand at these points, ready to assist with any needs that arise during your journey.
Upon completing the challenge, all finishers receive a bespoke medal celebrating their achievement. In addition, top male and female runners are recognized with special prizes for their outstanding performances.
