Pentelikon Marathon 2026

On December 13, 2026, the Telmessos N. Makris Marathon Club and Volunteer Firefighters of Marathons Society will host the fifth annual Pentelikon-Marathon Trail Run in collaboration with the Municipality of Marathons under the auspices of EOSLMA-Y. The event features a challenging 12-kilometer mountain trail run through the scenic forests of Mount Pentalikon.
Starting at 10:00 AM, runners will embark on an invigorating journey along rugged paths and winding trails that wind through lush greenery and historic landscapes. This course offers breathtaking views and a chance to explore one of Greece's most significant natural treasures. The route takes participants past areas ravaged by the devastating forest fires in August 2024, emphasizing the importance of conservation efforts.
The event aims not only to support local volunteer firefighters but also to raise awareness about environmental preservation and recovery. By participating, runners contribute directly to restoring these beautiful forests and helping them thrive once again.
