The Gymnastic Athletic Club of Ermionida "DROPOPS" and the Cultural Association of Ermioni "PORPHYRA" proudly present the second edition of the ERMIONIDA CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING, an exceptional race set to take place on January 9-10, 2027. This event is a collaboration with the Municipality of Ermionida and SEGAS Region of Peloponnese. Held at the heart of Ermionida, this cross-country running competition brings together people from all walks of life through the power of movement, nature, and community spirit. Inspired by the unique natural beauty and cultural heritage of the region, the event aims to showcase different areas each year, highlighting them as destinations for sports, hospitality, and experiences. The ERMIONIDA CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING is more than just a race; it's about connecting with others through shared passions and local traditions. The competition features races on both natural terrain and public roads, offering participants diverse challenges and scenic routes that wind through the picturesque landscapes of Ermionida. Runners will traverse lush forests, rolling hills, and charming villages as they navigate this challenging yet rewarding course. Registration for the event is available in two packages: BASIC and PLUS, ensuring there's an option to suit every runner’s needs. Early bird registration ends on December 6, 2026, providing a limited window of opportunity to secure spots at discounted rates before prices increase. The race weekend kicks off with packet pickup at Koilada Community Store from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM on Saturday, January 9th. On Sunday morning, runners will gather in the specially arranged area near the start line in Ermionida's "Bistis" forest for final preparations before the race begins. Participants can look forward to a vibrant atmosphere filled with support from local residents and fellow athletes alike.
