OUAGA SUR ERDRE 2026

On October 18, 2026, the 22nd edition of OUAGA-SUR-ERDRE will take place in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, France. This year's event celebrates its commitment to supporting children and disadvantaged families at the Charles Dufour Foundation’s orphanage center in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso since 2002.
The race offers a variety of courses for runners and hikers alike. The new format includes two nature runs covering distances of 14 km and 25 km along the Gesvres riverbank. Both routes feature significant elevation gains: +250 meters for the shorter course and +480 meters for the longer one, providing a challenging yet scenic experience through picturesque landscapes.
For those preferring walking or leisurely running, three hiking courses are available at distances of 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km along the banks of the Erdre. Participants in all categories will enjoy stunning views while traversing diverse terrains that showcase the natural beauty of the region.
The event begins and concludes at Stade du Buisson de La Grolle, where more than 120 volunteers will be on hand to welcome participants and provide assistance throughout the day. At each aid station along every route, refreshments such as sandwiches and non-alcoholic beverages are available for runners to stay energized.
All participants in the nature runs receive a commemorative t-shirt upon registration at Decathlon Paris or during the event itself. Additionally, Hyper U La Chapelle-sur-Erdre offers free parking with covered facilities to help manage logistics efficiently. Bins will be provided near the finish line for any personal items that need storage throughout the race.
