Join Ghanaians, the people generally described as amongst the friendliest in the world, as we take bold steps to improve our fitness and lifestyle while supporting local charities.
Taking advantage of the numerous beaches along the Accra-Tema Beach Road, the Accra International Marathon (AIM) is a Beach-to-Beach running event that takes participants through the key Accra communities of Teshie, Nungua, Sakumono and Ghana's major harbor city, Tema, and ends at the 5-star Labadi Beach Hotel, our Presenting Sponsor.
With the major harbor expansion works that have been ongoing for the last several years, AlMers will get great glimpses of Accra's scenic ocean views of the Gulf of Guinea.
With an enduring theme of AlMing to Care, participants are encouraged and supported to raise funds for local worthy charities of their choice. In addition to the 42-kilometer full marathon distance, there are also 21-kilometer, 10-kilometer, and 5-kilometer distances.
In addition to fresh, sweet coconuts and other refreshments, participants are usually treated to free massages from trained physio- and massage therapists at the finish line venue.

RACE PACKETS
Race packet distribution will begin approximately one week before Race Day. Times and locations will be announced on www.AIMghana.com.
The last day of race packet pickup is Saturday, 25 October from 9am-2pm at Labadi Beach Hotel. Please bring your bank deposit receipt (not applicable to those who registered with a credit card on active.com). If you would like someone else to pick up your packet for you, simply drop us an email letting us know who will pick up for you and ask that person to bring an ID with them. Race packets will not be available on race day.
