Nestled along the picturesque shores of Nagambie Lake, the Nagambie On Water Swim promises an unforgettable aquatic adventure for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Scheduled to take place on February 27, 2027, this event offers two distances: a challenging 1.1km swim and a more accessible 600m option.
The longer distance is open to adults across various age categories including Legends (ages 65+), Veterans (51-64), Masters (35-50), Seniors (18-34), and Juniors (under 18). Swimmers will be vying for medals in each category, while the top male and female finishers also earn a prestigious Ryan Gowty trophy. This event celebrates competitive spirit and camaraderie among swimmers.
For younger participants, there are dedicated categories: Under 13 years old, 13 to 16 years old, and an open group for 17 years and above. Each category awards medals to the top finishers, encouraging youth participation and fostering a supportive environment where all ages can enjoy the water.
Early bird discounts end on February 18, 2027, so swimmers are encouraged to secure their spots early online before prices increase. Online registration closes at 10:30am on race day itself, with late entries accepted up until then for those who prefer registering in person.
On the morning of the event, participants can arrive from 9:00am and register/check-in by 10:30am sharp. A mandatory briefing will commence promptly at 10:45am to ensure everyone is prepared for their swim. Swimmers should be aware that there are strict cut-off times in place.
The event day buzzes with energy as swimmers gather, socialize, and gear up before the start of races at exactly 11:00am. Post-race festivities include award presentations around noon near the registration area, where winners will receive their well-deserved accolades.
