MindOverMoors - The Falls 10k

The Falls 10K (approximately), set for January 23, 2027, invites runners to explore the captivating landscapes of Goathland and Grosmont in the North York Moors. This race begins at Goathland Village Hall and ventures through a charming mix of ancient woodland trails and historic railway lines.
Runners start their journey by weaving through the heart of Goathland before venturing into the picturesque valley of Grosmont, where they are enveloped by dense forest paths lined with towering trees that create an enchanting atmosphere. The route then transitions onto the scenic North York Moors Railway line for a brief but exhilarating stretch where runners can pick up their pace amidst stunning natural beauty.
The course reenters the woodland as it follows winding riverside trails, leading to one of its most captivating segments: crossing the river repeatedly via charming wooden bridges. This section culminates at Mallyan Spout Waterfall, a breathtaking highlight with cascading water that adds an unforgettable element to the race experience.
As runners near the end, they face a rewarding climb out of the valley before making their way back towards Goathland along familiar roads and paths leading them back to the Village Hall for a memorable finish. With 11.7km (7.3 miles) underfoot and an ascent of 958 feet, The Falls 10K offers runners not just a challenging course but also a journey through some of England's most scenic countryside.
Participants will enjoy registration from 08:30 to 09:45 with the race starting promptly at 10:00. Should severe weather conditions cause cancellation or disruption, entrants are assured a free transfer to another event by the organisers up to the value of their original entry fee.
