London Calling

London Calling is an exceptional running experience set against the picturesque backdrop of North Dorset’s Trailway. This unique event offers runners stunning views of Hambledon Hill and the River Stour, while also passing by Shillingstone Station—a historic site that adds a touch of charm to your journey.
The course features mixed terrain suitable for all levels, allowing participants to choose their own distance from 5K up to ultra-marathon. Each lap measures approximately 5.3 kilometers (3.28 miles) and follows an out-and-back route along the trailway. All finishers who complete one lap or more will receive a striking London-themed metal medal.
The event offers flexible start times between 8am and 9:30am, allowing you to begin when you feel most prepared. Finish by 3pm for a maximum race time of seven hours. Race numbers are available on the day at registration before your run begins.
Start and finish lines are located in the charming grounds of the Big Yellow Garden Bus Project community gardens, which provide ample space for runners to relax with friends or fellow running groups throughout the event. Enjoy the atmosphere as we play a rock n roll playlist all day long, setting the perfect mood for your adventure.
Our Run DMC aid station at the start/finish area offers refreshments and snacks, including delicious roast potatoes and cheese. Please note that this is a cupless event, so bring your own reusable containers to keep waste minimal. There are also designated areas where you can leave personal belongings while running.
Toilets are conveniently located near the start line for easy access throughout the day. Parking is available at an affordable rate of £6 per car.
As part of our commitment to supporting local communities, we partner with the Big Yellow Bus Garden Project—a charity that will receive a portion of your entry fee and donations made on event day. Detailed race instructions will be sent out via email before the big day arrives.
Participants under 20 years old are subject to distance restrictions in accordance with UK Athletics guidelines. Discounts for multiple entries or large groups can also be arranged upon request.
