Dark Dorset 10

Immerse yourself in the chilling ambiance of Dorset's most haunted parish with The Dark Dorset 10. This unique twilight race invites runners to explore an off-road route through eerie woods and historic sites, all under the cover of fading daylight.
The event kicks off at Eastbury House Park, where participants will venture into Chettle Park before navigating back towards Bloody Shard Gate—a site steeped in dark history from a violent skirmish that left one soldier's hand buried nearby. This haunting tale adds an extra layer to your run as you pass through the gate and continue on.
The course then leads runners past the ancient Chettle Long Barrow, where whispers of spirits are said to linger before returning once more to Eastbury Park. Here lies another spectral encounter: a headless horseman driving his ghostly coach pulled by similarly decapitated steeds—a chilling sight that only occurs at midnight, urging you to push harder as night falls.
As the race unfolds, runners will be rewarded with medals and trophies upon crossing the finish line, along with complimentary refreshments. With entry limited to just 200 participants, it's crucial not to delay in securing your spot for this spine-tingling adventure through Dorset’s haunted landscapes.
