Les Echappées Nature

Join us for the 25th edition of Les Échappées Nature on Sunday, May 23, 2027, organized by L'ÉCHAPPÉE DES FOUGERETZ. This annual trail running event offers two exciting courses set in the picturesque countryside north of Chapelle.
The Grande Échappée is a challenging 21.8 km (161 m elevation gain) course open to runners born in or before 2009. The route winds through scenic trails and private properties, offering breathtaking views of rolling hills and lush landscapes. Participants will experience the beauty of nature while navigating varied terrain that includes dirt paths and gentle climbs.
For those looking for a shorter but equally rewarding challenge, the Échappée Belle is a 10 km (75 m elevation gain) course designed as one continuous loop around Chapelle’s scenic trails. Ideal for runners born in or before 2011, this race promises a mix of flat sections and gentle inclines through charming countryside.
Both events feature well-timed hydration stations to ensure participants stay hydrated throughout their run. The 22 km route includes water stops at the 10km mark and again at 16km along with additional support points as needed based on weather conditions, while the shorter course offers refreshments at both the halfway point and finish line.
Race day starts early with packet pickup available from 8:00 AM. Competitors are reminded to arrive prepared for a wide range of possible weather scenarios and to respect private property by adhering strictly to designated routes during the race.
The event concludes with an inclusive atmosphere where all participants receive a complimentary galette-saucisse upon crossing the finish line, while top male and female finishers in each category will be awarded special recognition. Additionally, there is one prize up for grabs for the association that sends the largest contingent of runners to participate.
Please note that due to ongoing urbanization projects, some sections of both courses have been slightly modified this year but remain true to their scenic character. All participants are encouraged to practice eco-friendly habits by bringing reusable cups or purchasing an ecoticket at the various hydration stations and to respect local flora and fauna as well as private property during the event.
