LAMBTON CASTLE SUMMER TRAIL RUNS

Experience the beauty and tranquility of County Durham's private Lambton Estate on Sunday, August 15, 2027. This unique trail running event offers runners an exclusive opportunity to explore one of England’s most impressive private estates.
The estate boasts a variety of terrains including woodland trails, open parkland, historic surroundings, and stunning countryside views. Participants can expect the chance to spot Wild Deer roaming freely in their natural habitat while enjoying the scenic beauty around every turn.
There are four different distances available:
- 5km Trail Run: A perfect introduction for beginners or anyone looking for a fun summer run through the Lambton Estate’s beautiful grounds.

- 5 Mile Trail Run: This mixed-terrain route includes woodland trails, open fields, and estate tracks. Ideal for intermediate runners seeking a scenic challenge.
- 10 Mile Trail Run: An undulating 10-mile trail that takes you on an adventure through diverse landscapes within the Lambton Estate including woodlands, grassy tracks, and private roads.

- 15 Mile Trail Run: For those up for a bigger challenge, this route combines both the 10-mile loop with the additional 5-mile stretch, offering experienced runners more time to explore the stunning estate.
All routes feature a mix of woodland trails, open fields, grassy tracks and private roads. The event is also canicross-friendly; one well-controlled dog per runner is permitted provided they remain on a lead at all times and are comfortable with other runners around them.
Live chip timing will ensure accurate race results for all participants. Upon crossing the finish line, every runner receives a bespoke medal along with Wild Deer merchandise and refreshments to enjoy after their run.
For those who wish to remember this special day, custom event T-shirts can be added during registration at an additional cost of £14.
On-site parking is available for both runners and spectators. The fee will be communicated closer to the race date via participant information updates.
