Ipswich Family YMCA Run For The Pies

The annual Ipswich Family YMCA Run For The Pies is set to return on November 26, 2026. Starting at 8:00 AM from the bustling Green Street Park, this family-friendly race offers a 1.2-mile fun run and a more challenging 2.8-mile course for seasoned runners. Both distances wind through Ipswich’s historic neighborhoods, past landmarks such as Green Street Park where children play on crisp fall mornings.
Participants will enjoy running along picturesque streets, taking in the vibrant atmosphere of Thanksgiving morning. The route leads southeast towards the waterfront before looping back to the finish line celebration at Ipswich Town Hall (25 Green Street). With temperatures ranging from 2.2°C to a maximum of 10.3°C and feeling slightly cooler due to November winds averaging 14 km/h, runners can expect comfortable conditions despite the chill.
The terrain is mostly flat with gentle curves that pass by local landmarks, making for an enjoyable experience suitable for both beginners and experienced runners alike. Registration fees are $3.00 for the 1-mile run and $5.00 for the 2.8-mile race. Online registration closes on November 24 at 5:00 PM; in-person registrations can be made from Tuesday to Wednesday between noon and 6:00 PM at the Ipswich Family YMCA.
On race day, pick up your bibs starting from 7:00 AM until 8:00 AM at Town Hall Parking Lot.
