Hybrid Backyard

Hybrid Backyard, an innovative twist on the popular Backyard format, invites athletes to experience a unique blend of rowing, running, and cycling. This 12-hour endurance challenge takes place at Endurance Factory Albi, located at 12 Impasse Louison Bobet in Albi, France.
The event kicks off with a mandatory briefing for all participants at 8:00 AM on October 31, 2026, followed by the first wave of departures starting at 9:00 AM. Athletes will compete through hourly waves until the final departure at 8:00 PM. Each hour sees competitors complete a circuit consisting of rowing, running, cycling, and another run segment before moving on to the next hour.
For men, the distances are set as follows:
- Rowing: 2500 meters
- Running: 1600 meters
- Cycling: 5000 meters
- Final Run: 1600 meters
Women compete in slightly different but equally challenging segments:
- Rowing: 2000 meters
- Running: 1600 meters
- Cycling: 4000 meters
- Final Run: 1600 meters
Participants who do not finish their circuit within one hour are eliminated, leaving the field open for those who can maintain a steady pace through each discipline. The competition continues until only one athlete remains to be crowned "Last Man Standing". In case of multiple athletes still competing at the start of the final round, victory goes to whoever completes their distances first.
Registration opens on August 25, 2026, and closes on October 17, 2026. No medical certificates or proof of physical fitness is required for entry, making it accessible to a broad range of athletes.
Prizes are awarded based on the final standings:
- First place: €300
- Second place: €200
- Third place: €100
