HADRIAN'S WALL HALF MARATHON RUN

Experience the 7th edition of the Hadrian’s Wall Half Marathon on October 17, 2027. This half marathon begins at Housesteads Roman Fort, a World Heritage site along the Military Road, and follows the historic trail for six miles before descending into Newbrough's woodland paths. The final stretch is flat as it winds through Hexham’s Tyne Riverside Trail Path to finish in picturesque Tyne Green Country Park.
Participants can choose staggered start times from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with groups of up to 100 runners setting off together to minimize impact on the ancient site. The race is chip-timed by Timing Up North and offers a scenic backdrop that includes stunning views of Hadrian’s Wall.
For those who want to extend their stay in this historic region, there are numerous accommodation options like the Angel of Corbridge or Langley Castle Hotel. After completing your run, refuel at local eateries such as The Black Bull pub or Il Piccolo restaurant for a taste of Northumberland's culinary delights.
The event promises an unforgettable blend of physical challenge and historical immersion along one of Britain’s most iconic landmarks.
