Embark on an unforgettable three-day gravel cycling journey through some of South Africa's most breathtaking landscapes. The adventure begins atop the majestic Swartberg Pass, where cyclists will descend into lush valleys and ride along the picturesque Nel’s River Valley for a scenic 50 kilometers before tackling the formidable base of Swartberg Pass again.
Day two takes you on an awe-inspiring route through the Karoo's vast open plains. This day includes climbing up the rugged north side of Swartberg Pass, known for its challenging switchbacks and stunning vistas. The finish line is at the summit in true Tour de France style, followed by a descent to Prince Albert where riders can relax with lunch before returning to their accommodations.
On the final day, cyclists will ride an expansive loop through pristine Karoo terrain, passing through Prince Albert once more on their way up Swartberg Pass. This year's route culminates in a thrilling summit finish and concludes at The Old Toll area for post-ride festivities including prize-giving and celebratory meals.
Each stage is complemented by full medical support, well-stocked water points, and the legendary atmosphere of this multi-day event. Whether you choose to stay in one of Prince Albert's charming guest houses or a nearby accommodation option, every participant will be treated to three days filled with unforgettable gravel riding, camaraderie, and breathtaking scenery.
