GENEPTRAIL 2ème édition

About the Event

Geneptrail, the third edition of this thrilling winter adventure, invites runners to experience an unforgettable night race through the snowy landscapes of Alpe d'Huez. Participants will navigate 18 kilometers with over 700 meters of elevation gain or choose a shorter 9-kilometer route with around 400 meters of ascent. Both courses wind through pristine snow-covered trails, illuminated only by headlamps and surrounded by the quiet beauty of night.
The race starts at 6:00 PM on December 12, 2026, for those tackling the longer distance, followed closely by a kids' event designed for children aged between 7 to 16 years. A second start time of 7:15 PM is set for runners taking part in the shorter course.
Race participants will find themselves enveloped in a winter wonderland as they traverse through snowy terrain under the glow of their headlamps, with temperatures likely dropping well below freezing. The race finishes at the same picturesque location where it begins — near the Pic Blanc cable car station. This event promises not only an adrenaline-fueled challenge but also a warm sense of camaraderie among participants.
With its unique blend of challenging terrain and festive atmosphere, Geneptrail is perfect for runners looking to push their limits in one of Europe's most iconic winter sports destinations.
