The Dark Dart Dash returns to the picturesque setting of Dartington Hall after an extended hiatus. Organizers have partnered with Green Table Cafe for registration and post-race refreshments, offering runners a hearty meal or drink from their menu at the finish line. This event features both 10K and 5K single-lap courses as well as dedicated races for young athletes aged 3 to 11 years. For those who wish to include their furry friends in the adventure, canicross events are available immediately following the individual runs. The children's race routes primarily traverse grassy areas, while the adult courses wind through a mix of terrain including gravel paths and patches of tarmac, occasionally punctuated by muddy sections that add an element of unpredictability to the course. Participants in the 10K and 5K races are advised to bring head or chest torches for visibility during darker hours. Trail shoes are highly recommended due to the varied ground conditions along the route. Entry into The Dark Dart Dash includes professional RFID chip timing, fully marked and marshalled routes, a stunning finishers medal, free beer or hot drink at the conclusion of your run, prizes for podium winners in various categories, water stations throughout the course, complimentary parking, event facilities with toilets, medical support from trained professionals, and public liability insurance. A portion of the proceeds will be directed towards funding a new playground area for children near Dartington Hall. All parents are welcome to join their kids on either of the kid-friendly courses at no additional cost; however, younger participants aged 8 or above must have an adult present throughout the race. The Dark Dart Dash promises not only a challenging and scenic run but also a chance to contribute positively to the community by supporting local youth initiatives.

About Dartington Hall
Learn more about the host city, Dartington Hall.
Dartington Hall in Dartington, near Totnes, Devon, England, is an historic house and country estate of around 800 acres dating from medieval times. The group of late 14th century buildings are Grade I listed; described in Pevsner's Buildings of England as "one of the most spectacular surviving domestic buildings of late Medieval England", along with Haddon Hall and Wingfield Manor. The medieval buildings are grouped around a huge courtyard; the largest built for a private residence before the 16th Century, and the Great Hall itself is the finest of its date in England. The west range of the courtyard is regarded nationally as one of the most notable examples of a range of medieval lodgings. The medieval buildings were restored from 1926 to 1938.
