Dalby Forest 5 Mile Headtorch Challenge

Immerse yourself in the exhilarating world of headtorch racing at Dalby Forest, where trails rarely treaded by daylight explorers come alive under the glow of your personal beam. This unique night-time adventure through dense woodland challenges runners to navigate rugged terrain and winding paths illuminated only by the light from their own torches.
The race begins promptly at 6:00 pm after a pre-race briefing in the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre, which opens for registration starting at 4:45 pm. Participants are encouraged to secure their spots early as online entries close on January 19, 2027, at 11:45 am due to limited parking availability and strict entry limits of 650 runners.
With a focus on pure trail running in the dark, this event is not for the faint-hearted.
