La Course de la Cité-Limoilou, presented by Myriam Hébert Dental Clinic, is an urban and artistic challenge like no other in Quebec. This unique event brings together families, street performers, urban enthusiasts, and runners for a vibrant day of festivities. The race features live musical performances and interactive art installations from local artists along the route, such as face painters and balloon sculptors. The course offers various distances to cater to all ages and skill levels: 1 km, 1.5 km, and 2 km races designed specifically for younger participants; a 5 km run that welcomes runners with or without strollers; and a more challenging 10 km race for experienced athletes. The scenic route winds through the charming streets of Vieux-Limoilou, including the picturesque 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue. In line with their commitment to sustainability, organizers have eliminated single-use cups at water stations since 2023, reducing waste by approximately 480 liters per event. Post-race refreshments are sourced from local producers, supporting the regional economy while ensuring runners enjoy fresh, delicious snacks after crossing the finish line. Participants can also take advantage of flexible registration options: refunds are available up to 30 days before the race date, and transfers or changes in distance are possible until two weeks prior.
