About the Event

Celebrate the holiday season with the Chesterfield Santa Fun Run on December 20, 2026. This festive event features two distances: a 1.5k race around Queen's Park Cricket Pitch and a 5k course that begins at the pitch before looping through the park’s outer path for an additional four laps.
Participants can choose to run in a provided Santa Suit (unisex one size fits all) or bring their own, adding a whimsical twist to this family-friendly event. Both races end with cheers from spectators gathered near the Cricket Pavilion where medals and Christmas treats await every finisher.
The day kicks off at 10:00 AM with warm-up sessions followed by race starts at 10:15 AM for the shorter distance and 10:45 AM for the longer one. Race numbers are available from The Derby Runner, while Santa Suits can be picked up prior to race day or collected on-site starting at 9:00 AM.
Support Ashgate Hospice by joining this fun run that encourages participants to collect sponsorship money through JustGiving pages and share their fundraising efforts with friends and family. Race HQ is located conveniently at the Cricket Pavilion in Queen's Park, offering toilets and changing facilities for runners.
Early registration closes on December 19th at 1:00 PM or when entries reach capacity. Entry fees range from £3 to £14 depending on age group and whether a Santa Suit is included. Don’t miss out on this joyful event that combines exercise with community spirit!
