About the Event
The Middle China 100·Jiushui Trail Challenge returns on November 21, 2026, setting off from the Jinshi Cultural Park in Jiushui County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. This year's event offers a selection of distances to cater to trail runners at various skill levels: the 65.2 km ultra-distance course with an elevation gain of 2980 meters, the 32.8 km mid-length route featuring 1673 meters of climbing, and the shorter but equally scenic 16.5 km option that ascends to a height difference of 465 meters. Registration for this highly anticipated race opens on September 22 at 9:00 AM local time, with early bird pricing available until October 1st. Participants can look forward to an event limited to just 900 runners who will experience the serene and historic landscapes that Jiushui has to offer. The ultra-distance course begins at dawn on November 21, allowing participants to explore a diverse range of terrains including mountain trails, forest paths, ancient stone pathways, and rural fields. The race route meanders through well-preserved historical sites such as Ming Dynasty city walls, thousand-year-old temples, traditional market streets lined with age-old shops and residences, and vast rice paddies that stretch across the countryside.
