About the Event

Join the family-friendly festivities at the Governor's Mansion on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, for an exciting day of running and community fun! The race offers three events to choose from: a scenic 5K run/walk along Mountain Street, an 8K challenge that takes you through varied terrain around Carson City, or a delightful Kids Fun Run. Participants can enjoy hot chocolate, music, and the festive atmosphere regardless of whether they are racing.
Registration is open until November 8th to ensure your spot in receiving a race t-shirt; after this date, shirts cannot be guaranteed. All runners will compete on a running clock without individual bibs. The top three finishers in each category—5K, 8K, and the kids' run—will receive medals and special prizes from Reno Running Company.
The event starts at 8:30 am sharp with parking available on a first-come-first-served basis around Governor's Mansion located at 606 Mountain St. For those who wish to pick up their t-shirts early, there will be an opportunity the day before the race from 4-6 pm at St. Teresa’s School.
Don’t miss out on this unique Thanksgiving tradition that combines exercise with community spirit and delicious treats like pumpkin pies! Register now for just $30 per person (or $20 for kids under 12) to secure your place in what promises to be a memorable day of running, fun, and family.
