About the Event

Embark on an unforgettable adventure through the rugged and historic terrain of Calico Ghost Town and Mining District for this year's Trail Run. Nestled 10 miles north of Barstow, California, the course winds through the scenic Calico Mountains, offering runners a blend of breathtaking beauty and rich history. Founded in 1881 as a silver mining town, Calico thrived until the late 19th century when the value of silver plummeted but was later revitalized by borax mining. Today, this historic site is preserved as a County Regional Park, dedicated to showcasing its storied past and natural splendor. On January 24, 2027, runners will traverse paths lined with remnants of a bygone era, immersing themselves in the unique charm and rugged landscapes that define Calico's legacy.
Experience firsthand how nature and history converge on this remarkable trail run, where every step tells a story.
