Set against the stunning backdrop of Derwentwater, the Borrowdale Trail Half Marathon offers runners an unforgettable journey through some of England's most breathtaking landscapes and challenging terrain. The 21km course winds its way along the shores of Derwentwater and into the surrounding fells, providing a diverse mix of trails that cater to both experienced trail runners and those seeking new challenges. With no need for navigational skills due to well-marked paths, participants can focus on enjoying every step through lush forests, over rocky outcrops, and across open moors. Starting at Lingholm in the early morning light, runners will be greeted by panoramic views of Lake District scenery as they make their way towards Crow Park. The finish line awaits back at Crow Park, where registration has taken place earlier on race day. Each participant receives a bespoke medal to commemorate this special event and can look forward to having professional photographs from the day available for download afterward. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female runners as well as first-place winners in each age group category, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition.
