Lee Mill Relays

The Lee Mill Quarry Relay, held at the picturesque and challenging Lee Mill Quarry site near Rossendale, Lancashire, invites teams of four runners to tackle its rugged 10.7k course on Sunday, November 26th, starting at 10am from Stubbylee Hall OL13 0DE.
This event is designed for both seasoned athletes and those seeking a demanding challenge in winter conditions. Teams can consist of men, women, or mixed genders, with the option for clubs to enter without specifying individual runners until closer to race day. Given the course's difficulty level and potential for inclement weather, it’s crucial that team captains ensure all members are fully prepared and aware of the risks involved.
Participants must carry essential kit including full waterproof body coverings, hats, gloves, compasses, and whistles at all times during the event. A strict equipment check will be conducted to confirm compliance with safety requirements before competitors set off on their route. Maps outlining the course details are provided upon registration.
Entry fees for teams total £28 per group. The race has a capacity limit of 120 teams, but there is also a waiting list available should additional spots become available. Walk-in entries will be accepted if space remains unclaimed prior to event day.
