BBB10k

Step back into history on September 5, 2027, as you lace up for the BBB10k, an exhilarating run through Battle's historic streets and surrounding villages. Organized by the Battel Bonfire Boyes, this race offers a unique blend of scenic beauty and challenging terrain.
The event kicks off at 9:30 AM in East Sussex, where runners will navigate country lanes and tarmac paths that wind their way through picturesque landscapes. The course is known for its hilly sections but also features flat stretches that make it appealing to both novice and experienced athletes alike. Participants can expect a well-measured route with accurate timing provided by chip technology.
The race day atmosphere is electric, with local residents lining the streets to cheer on runners as they push towards the finish line at Battle Abbey. The abbey itself serves not only as an iconic landmark but also marks the end of this memorable journey through history and nature.
In addition to the main 10k event, a junior race offers young athletes the chance to compete in a chip-timed 1500m run starting outside the historic Battle Abbey. This year’s junior race is proudly sponsored by Taylor Richardson Electrical, ensuring that younger participants are well-supported as they experience their first taste of competitive running.
Participants will receive a bespoke medal upon completion, and top runners can look forward to trophies and prizes awarded for leading positions in various categories. The entry fee for the 10k event is £25 on race day (subject to availability).
For those looking to immerse themselves in Battle’s rich heritage while testing their limits with a challenging run through hilly terrain, the BBB10k promises an unforgettable experience.
Registration and detailed route information will be sent out prior to race day. Don't miss your chance to join this historic run and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow runners as you explore Battle's scenic countryside.
