Course Highlights
Starting from Detling Showground, runners begin their adventure through ancient woodlands and vineyards. The first leg takes you through Boxley Warren, an enchanting woodland with towering trees and winding paths leading into rolling hills and stunning vistas across Kent’s countryside.
As you venture further along the North Downs Way, you’ll pass by Thurnham Castle ruins, a historic landmark offering sweeping views of the landscape below. This is followed by Lenham Cross—a striking war memorial carved into the hillside—marking an iconic viewpoint on your journey.
Beyond Lenham lies a diverse range of terrain: open fields, sheltered woodlands, and expansive farmland that challenge both physical stamina and mental fortitude as you navigate through ever-changing landscapes.
The race’s final stretch takes runners through Wye Downs Nature Reserve, home to one of Kent's most dramatic vistas. Ascend onto the Wye Downs where natural landmarks like the Wye Crown offer breathtaking views across the Weald of Kent before descending into Devil’s Kneading Trough for your last exhilarating challenge.
