Bay by Bike MTB Race and Trail Run

On Sunday, March 7, 2027, the Baywest Mall in Gqeberha hosts an exciting day of cycling and trail running events. The centerpiece is the challenging 40km mountain bike race open to riders aged 15 years and older, while e-bikers must be at least 19 for this distance. A more accessible option is the 20km MTB route suitable for participants as young as eight, with no upper age limit. For families looking for a shorter adventure, there are also 10km and 5km courses available to all ages but require children under eight to be accompanied by an adult participant.
The event offers a mix of terrain from the scenic trails around Gqeberha, providing both seasoned racers and newcomers with memorable experiences. Cyclists can enjoy the thrill of navigating varied landscapes while enjoying the camaraderie among fellow enthusiasts. For those who prefer running, trail options cater to all levels, ensuring that everyone finds their perfect challenge.
Participants must note that a CSA License is required for 40km MTB riders without one and costs R70 if needed. Entries close at midnight on Thursday, March 3, so early registration is recommended to secure your spot in this dynamic event.
