ATW Bristol Triathlon

Situated around Bristol Harbour, this triathlon offers participants an unforgettable experience with its unique combination of aquatic and land-based challenges.
The event kicks off at Cumberland Basin where swimmers will take a plunge into refreshing waters before transitioning onto Portway for a bike ride that takes them under the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge—a landmark synonymous with Bristol's history. The cycling route is entirely traffic-free, allowing participants to focus on their performance without any distractions or hazards.
The race concludes with an exhilarating run alongside the River Avon, culminating in a dramatic finish over the flyover where spectators line up to cheer racers home. Whether you're a novice cyclist looking for a smooth 7k lap route or a seasoned athlete aiming for personal bests, this event promises both challenge and enjoyment.
Competitors can choose from two distances:
- Sprint: A shorter version featuring a 750m swim, followed by a 21km bike ride, concluding with a 5km run.
- Standard: For those seeking more of a test, the longer distance includes a 1500m swim, a grueling 42km cycle, and an epic 9.6km run.
For athletes who prefer not to tackle all three disciplines individually, there's also an Aquabike option available for both distances as well as relay teams competing over the Standard distance.
