On October 25, 2026, the Third Huangpu River Source Cycling Tour will kick off at the National Shooting and Archery Base in Anji County, Zhejiang Province. Registration for this event is available from October 1 to October 24 between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM (no late registrations on race day). The tour offers three distinct categories tailored to different cycling enthusiasts:
- 90km Competitive Open Group: This challenging category spans a distance of 91.1 kilometers with an elevation gain of 918.8 meters, featuring a vertical drop of 292 meters over the course's entirety. Participants must complete within a time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes to be eligible for awards. Cyclists between the ages of 18 and 55 are invited, provided they can present proof of completion in similar events from the past two years or provide evidence of a single ride covering at least 80 kilometers with an average speed of no less than 30 km/h.
- 90km Leisure Tour Full Course: For those who prefer a more relaxed pace while still enjoying scenic views, this category is designed for cyclists aged between 16 and 65. The route mirrors the competitive group's distance but offers a longer time frame of five hours to complete it comfortably.
- 60km Leisure Tour Half Course: This shorter option covers 60.9 kilometers with an elevation gain of 652.6 meters, perfect for riders aged between 16 and 65 years old who want to experience the beauty without pushing their limits too far. The time limit is set at three hours and thirty minutes.
The course itself winds through Anji's stunning landscape, featuring a mix of challenging climbs, picturesque riverfront stretches, and shaded roads under dense canopies of bamboo forest. Cyclists will encounter continuous uphill sections in the early stages, followed by thrilling descents along winding paths that offer panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.
