2027 Polar Bear Marathon

On January 23, 2027, runners will gather at Yeongrongi Reed Field beneath Sinjeonggyo Bridge for a winter running spectacle along the Han River. The race offers three challenging distances: a scenic 5K, a more demanding 10K, and a half marathon that tests endurance against the crisp January air.
Registration costs KRW 50,000 per distance and closes on January 17, 2027, or earlier if spots fill up. Early registrants who sign up by January 3 will have their bibs and T-shirts delivered directly to them, while those registering between January 4 and the deadline can collect theirs at the event.
Participants will enjoy chip timing for accurate results and receive mobile result certificates upon completion of their run. The race course winds through a picturesque setting with reeds swaying gently in the breeze and the river's icy waters reflecting the winter sky, creating an unforgettable backdrop for runners to push themselves against the elements.
