10th Annual Solstice Swim

About the Event

Immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of the Sunshine Coast on June 27, 2027, for the 10th Annual Sunshine Coast Solstice Swim. Organized by the Alexandra Headland Rotary Club and Surf Lifesaving Club, this community-driven event celebrates camaraderie and fun along the picturesque coastline.
Swimmers can choose from three distances: a family-friendly 1km, an adventurous 3km, or for those seeking a challenge, the invigorating 5km. Each swim is closely monitored by lifeguards on jet skis and boards to ensure safety while encouraging participants to enjoy the serene waters of Alexandra Headland.
The day begins with a mandatory beach briefing led by the Alex Headland Surf Lifesaving Club's Swim Captain at 7:30 am for all distances, followed by staggered start times. Swimmers will be provided timing anklets courtesy of Multi Sport Australia, allowing everyone to track their personal bests and enjoy peace of mind.
Participants can store their gear near registration desks before hitting the water, while parking is conveniently located in Mari Street car park opposite the Surf Life Saving Club. Join a community that values health, fun, and unity as you dive into this unforgettable aquatic adventure on the Sunshine Coast.
Join us for an event where every swimmer feels supported and celebrated, no matter their pace or distance choice.
