About the event

The Wild Rose Women's Indoor Triathlon Experience offers an inclusive and supportive environment for all levels of athletes, from beginners taking their first steps into triathlons to experienced competitors looking to refine their skills. This unique indoor event takes place on February 14, 2027, combining swimming, cycling, and running in a fast-paced format designed to challenge and motivate participants.
Upon arrival at the facility by 30 minutes before your assigned heat start time, you will check-in and get body marked for easy identification throughout the race. Your group leader will guide you through each segment of the event, ensuring that everyone feels supported and encouraged every step of the way.
The swim portion begins with a 10-minute session in the pool where participants can use any stroke to cover as many laps as possible. Swimmers are organized into lanes based on their pace for an efficient and fair competition. Lifeguards and volunteers will be present, along with cheering spectators who can watch from stands overlooking the pool.
After exiting the water, a 15-minute transition period allows athletes to dry off and change clothes before heading up to the spin room where they'll set up their bikes under guidance from facility staff. A dedicated instructor leads participants through a vigorous yet manageable 20-minute cycling workout tailored for all fitness levels.
Following another brief transition of about five minutes, runners move onto the track for a final leg consisting of walking or running as many laps as possible within 15 minutes. Run marshals will direct athletes and ensure everyone stays on schedule while encouraging participants to maintain their pace throughout this segment.
Upon completion of the race, all competitors gather in the lobby where they receive commemorative finisher items, group photos, and a post-race snack from Jugo Juice. This is an ideal time for athletes to share experiences with teammates, family members, or friends who attended as spectators.
Spectators are welcome but should note that viewing opportunities vary by event segment:
- The swim offers the best chance for continuous cheering.
- Bike events take place in a small room without spectator access due to safety regulations.
- Running is on an open track where space limitations prevent additional support from outside observers.
Participants must bring appropriate gear including swimsuits or trisuits, goggles, and swim caps provided by organizers. Towels are mandatory during transitions between activities. Additional items such as running shoes, extra clothing layers for the transition area, water bottles, snacks, medications, and personal locks for lockers can also be useful throughout the day.
For those unable to attend on February 14th, there is a limited opportunity to roll over registrations until November 1st at an additional fee of $30. Transfers between athletes are permitted up until race day with a transfer fee of $15.
Join us for this uplifting and engaging event tailored specifically towards women seeking camaraderie and achievement in the world of triathlons!

Edmonton is the capital city of Alberta. Its metro area is home to 1.2 million people (2025), and is the northernmost city of at least one million people in North America, the fifth-largest city in Canada and the largest Canadian city farther than 200 kilometres (120 mi) from the US border. Edmonton is famous for its beautiful river valley park system, the North Saskatchewan River Valley, which offers over 100 kilometres (62 mi) of recreational trails, wildlife viewing, and city views. The river valley also contains many parks, including Fort Edmonton Park, Canada's largest historical park. If the great outdoors is not what you seek, the city also offers West Edmonton Mall, the largest shopping mall in North America. On top of that, Edmonton has a vibrant theatre community, a busy cycle of annual festivals, national sports teams active year-round, and wonderful winter recreational opportunities.
