28. Dachsteinlauf 2027

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Austria's Dachstein Mountains, the Dachsteinlauf offers runners an unforgettable winter experience. This multi-day race series is designed to cater to all levels of skiers and snow enthusiasts.
The festival kicks off on Friday, January 15, 2027, with a special event for young racers. The Kidsrace starts at 3:00 PM, giving children the chance to showcase their skills in an exhilarating competition that promises fun and excitement from start to finish. An awards ceremony follows immediately after, recognizing the achievements of these budding athletes.
The main events begin on Saturday, January 16, with a thrilling day dedicated to skating races. Participants can choose between two distances: a challenging 40-kilometer race starting at 9:30 AM and a more accessible 10-kilometer option that kicks off an hour later at 10:00 AM. Both routes wind through pristine winter landscapes, offering stunning views of the snow-covered peaks and serene alpine lakes.
As the day progresses, awards ceremonies are held for both race categories. The ceremony for the shorter distance takes place at noon, while those who tackled the longer course will receive their accolades in the early afternoon around 2:00 PM. To cap off a full day of racing, the Dachstein Genusslauf begins at 3:00 PM, inviting participants to enjoy an additional run that combines scenic beauty with exhilarating challenges.
The final day of competition falls on Sunday, January 17, featuring another set of classic-style races. Similar to Saturday's schedule, racers can opt for either a grueling 40-kilometer course or the more manageable 10-kilometer option, both starting bright and early at 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM respectively.
Awards ceremonies follow soon after each race concludes. The shorter distance event wraps up with an awards ceremony at noon, while those who completed the longer route will have their achievements celebrated in the afternoon around 1:00 PM.
By participating in this unique winter racing series, runners not only test their limits but also immerse themselves in a vibrant community of athletes and nature lovers. With its combination of challenging courses and beautiful scenery, the Dachsteinlauf is an event that promises to leave lasting memories for all who attend.
