Mülibankerllauf 2027

Join us for the 41st edition of Mülibankerlauf on January 30, 2027, as we celebrate another year at this beloved Austrian mountain race. Whether you're tackling the challenging vertical ascent or enjoying a leisurely family walk through scenic trails, all are welcome to experience the warm and inclusive atmosphere.
Competitors can choose from several categories: Touring skis for those who want to glide up the 2.8 km route with an elevation gain of 486 meters; Vertical runners scaling directly along hiking paths under similar conditions; snowshoers exploring at their own pace over either trail or path, also covering 2.8 km and ascending 486 meters.
For those seeking a longer challenge, the Berglauf category offers a more extensive trek up to Radmoos before reaching the summit—a total of 7.4 kilometers with an elevation gain of 500 meters. Families can participate together in the Familienwertung, where teams of three or four members include at least one under-16 participant.
In case conditions don’t permit touring ski use, entries automatically shift to Vertical Berglauf classification. Should you opt for snowshoes instead, your performance will be evaluated alongside other hikers and walkers.
The event starts in Gmunden's Mülibankerln area, established by the Nature Friends from Laakirchen and Ohlsdorf. Prizes include handcrafted miniature Mülibankerl trophies for Berglauf winners and a commemorative medal for all participants. Don’t miss out on this annual tradition filled with camaraderie and scenic beauty!
Limited to 200 starters but onsite registration is possible as long as spaces remain, subject to an additional fee of €5 per person. See you there!
