Gmundner Silvesterlauf 2026

Get ready for the festive spirit of Gmunden as the Silvesterlauf Gmunden 2026 approaches on December 31st, 2026. This annual race has become an integral part of the town’s New Year's Eve celebrations and promises to be a memorable event once again.

Participants will gather at Gmundner Esplanade for the start of this scenic run that winds through some of Gmunden’s most picturesque spots. The race begins near Toscana Congress Center and takes runners past the historic Landschloß Orth along Schloss-Orth-Allee, before returning via the Esplanade and crossing over a bridge around the castle.
The course features gentle undulations as it passes by the Linde tree and continues through the well-known Toscana Halbinsel area. The race concludes with an exhilarating finish at the entrance of Toscana Congress Center, marking the end of another year in style.
On December 30th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM or on the day itself until 9:30 AM, participants can collect their starting numbers either at Toscana Congress Gmunden or near the race start and finish line. Late registrations will also be accepted up until supplies last.
After crossing the finish line, runners are greeted with a variety of treats including cakes and drinks in the post-race area. Every participant receives a finisher’s medal to commemorate their achievement. Additionally, special trophies are awarded for age category winners every ten years.
