About the Event

Embrace the festive spirit and join us at Suffolk Running Centre on Church Road in Bury St Edmunds for an unforgettable Christmas running experience. The race starts promptly at 9am with a mass start, offering runners flexibility to choose their own distance: 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon, or ultra distances.
Participants will enjoy the scenic and social route along Church Road, which features out-and-back sections for those racing under half-marathon distances. The trail loops around Mount Barrow, providing a picturesque backdrop with each lap. For longer distances, runners can expect two laps for the full marathon and an additional loop to reach the ultra distance mark.
The event includes aid stations every 10 kilometers, where you'll find refreshments such as drinks and snacks to keep your energy levels up throughout the race. Parking is included in your entry fee, making it convenient for all participants.
Race HQ and Base Camp are located at both the start line and lap point, offering a central hub with water stations and aid supplies. Upon registration, you'll receive an email confirmation from Zig Zag Running containing details about the race briefing information pack.
To celebrate the holiday season, runners can opt to participate in fancy dress, adding an extra layer of fun and camaraderie to the event atmosphere. Additionally, all participants will be awarded a bespoke medal at the finish line, celebrating their achievement with unique designs for each distance category. If you prefer variety, there's also a lucky dip option allowing you to choose from previous or current race medals.
Please note that this year’s event is "cupless," so bring your own reusable bottles and cups to support environmental sustainability.
