About the Event

Looking to enjoy a leisurely run through the picturesque landscapes of Yorkshire? The Yorkshire Weekend Saunter Series offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where runners can choose their own pace and distance. Whether you're an experienced athlete or just starting out, this series provides something for everyone.
The event features three distances: 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, each offering scenic routes through the rolling hills and charming villages of Yorkshire. Participants have the flexibility to simply show up on race day without pre-registering; all races are cash-only events with no online sign-up required.
Registration times vary by distance:
- The 5K run has a registration time of 8:00am, starting at 9:00am.
- For the 10K event, runners can register from 8:00am and start running at 8:45am.
- Those tackling the half marathon should arrive early for an earlier start; registration begins at 7:30am with a race start time of 8:30am.
While there are no facilities on site, all races adhere to UKA rules through Trail Running Association licensing. The event concludes with a simple yet rewarding jumble medal for every finisher who completes their chosen distance in the relaxed and scenic setting of Upper Mills, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield HD7 5HA.
