About the Event

WTR Serra do Mar returns for its eighth edition on November 21st and 22nd in Vale das Videiras near Petrópolis. This year's event offers a diverse range of races, including Trail Run Short, Mid, Long, and Ultra distances, as well as Mountain Bike Light and Pro categories. Additionally, participants can take part in duathlon events combining both trail running and mountain biking disciplines.
The WTR Serra do Mar stage is renowned for its challenging yet scenic routes that wind through the lush landscapes of the Serra do Mar mountains. Runners will experience a variety of terrains, from steep ascents to winding trails lined with dense vegetation. The event not only tests endurance but also immerses participants in the beauty and tranquility of the region.
A highlight for athletes aiming to top their respective WTR rankings is the opportunity to compete alongside some of the best trail runners and mountain bikers from around the world. This year's edition will once again crown champions across various categories, celebrating excellence and dedication throughout the season.
For younger participants, the Kids Race offers a fun introduction to sports and outdoor activities in a safe environment. The event also includes an area dedicated to children with games and educational workshops that promote physical activity from an early age.
Beyond the races, WTR Serra do Mar features an array of entertainment options at its central hub known as WTR Arena.
