Winter's End - 50 Mile Ultra & Marathon

About the Event

Winter’s End by BigFeat offers runners an unforgettable experience along the South Downs Way from near Arundel to Winchester, featuring both 50-mile ultramarathon and standalone marathon routes. The course winds through scenic trails that offer sweeping views of rolling hills and picturesque landscapes, providing a visually stunning backdrop for this challenging event.
Runners can expect well-stocked aid stations throughout the route, ensuring they have access to necessary supplies as they traverse varied terrain. A mandatory kit list is in place, requiring participants to carry essentials such as hydration tools and navigation aids to ensure their safety and comfort during the race.
In partnership with Trees Not Tees, runners who complete the event can choose to plant a tree instead of receiving a traditional medal, contributing positively to environmental conservation efforts while celebrating their achievement. This challenging yet rewarding journey through some of England’s most beautiful scenery is perfect for both seasoned ultrarunners and marathon enthusiasts looking for an epic adventure.
The Winter's End race promises not only physical challenges but also the opportunity to connect with nature in a meaningful way, making it a standout event on any runner’s calendar.
