Winter Urban

On December 19, 2026, Tulsa's Fatass Urban Run returns as an exhilarating and donation-based adventure through the city’s vibrant neighborhoods. Participants can choose from distances of 50K, 100 miles, or a half-century run, all featuring six laps around a festive 16.5-mile loop adorned with Christmas lights. The event starts at 7:00 AM sharp at RunnersWorld Tulsa (3920 S Peoria), where runners will embark on an urban journey through flat to gently rolling terrain along mostly sidewalk paths.
The course is unmarked, requiring participants to rely on a map and turn-by-turn directions provided by the organizers. This self-guided route offers a unique blend of adventure and challenge as runners navigate bustling streets and quiet neighborhoods alike. The race concludes at 5:00 PM Sunday with a generous cutoff time of 34 hours.
Crews are welcome to support participants, offering food, drink, and other necessities along the way, but they must adhere to strict guidelines regarding traffic safety and parking etiquette. Runners will need to carry essential items such as a cell phone (for emergencies only), cash for purchases, and at least one water bottle or hydration pack.
The race is not just about endurance; it’s an opportunity to explore Tulsa in the holiday spirit while contributing to local charity through entry donations that cover timing services, medals, and other amenities. This event promises a memorable urban adventure filled with festive cheer and community support.
