Set against the backdrop of rolling hills and picturesque countryside, each lap offers not just physical endurance but also camaraderie among fellow competitors. The event’s format is simple yet demanding: complete your mile-and-a-half circuit within an hourly window to keep advancing. With about 72 meters of elevation gain per loop, runners will face increasing challenges as the race progresses.
Between laps, Hale Manor Farm transforms into a hub of support and encouragement. Share stories with fellow racers, receive cheers from spectators, and enjoy downtime at the farm’s food hall or lakeside kitchen before gearing up for your next lap.
Choose between two options: embrace the full Backyard Ultra experience without limits, setting personal goals as you see fit; or opt for the Mini Backyard challenge, aiming to complete seven laps covering a total of 29.17 miles. Both formats offer an immersive race atmosphere and the chance to push your boundaries in this extraordinary event.
