Wight Riot

Nestled along the picturesque coastal path of Milford on Sea, 'Wight Riot' offers runners an unforgettable journey with stunning views of the Isle of Wight and the serene Sturt Pond Nature Reserve. This mixed-terrain event caters to all levels of experience, allowing participants to choose their own distance from a 5K sprint to an ultra-marathon challenge.
Flexibility is key at 'Wight Riot,' as runners can start anytime between 8am and 9:30am, fitting the race into their schedule. All participants must finish by 3pm (maximum of 7 hours). Race numbers are available on-site for pick-up before you set off along the scenic route.
The event features an aid station at both the beginning and end of each lap where runners can grab water and snacks to keep them energized throughout their run. A variety of savoury and sweet items will be provided, alongside a designated area for personal belongings. To minimize waste, please bring your own reusable cups or bottles.
Public restrooms are conveniently located at both the start/finish line and along parts of the route, ensuring runners remain comfortable during their journey. Detailed race day instructions will be sent via email prior to the event date with all necessary information.
Each lap covers a 5.3km (3.28 mile) out-and-back course that showcases the beauty of Milford on Sea's coastline and surrounding nature reserve. All finishers who complete one or more laps receive a commemorative medal, celebrating their accomplishment in style.
Please be aware that UK Athletics regulations impose distance restrictions for participants under 20 years old to ensure safety and appropriate challenge levels.
