Wicklow way 131km challenge Bling Hunters

About the Event

Embark on an epic journey along Ireland's historic Wicklow Way for the 131km Challenge. This ambitious trek winds through the breathtaking Wicklow Mountains, offering runners and walkers alike the chance to explore one of Ireland’s most scenic trails at their own pace. Whether you choose to tackle the real route or log your kilometers via treadmill or cycling, this challenge invites participants to complete the distance by December 31, 2027.
The trail itself is steeped in history, having been established as Ireland's first long-distance hiking path back in 1980. Winding through rugged landscapes and charming villages, it provides a blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage that makes every step memorable. Participants who complete the challenge will receive an impressive medal—a massive 150mm piece of bling—once they submit proof of their accomplishment to the Bling Hunters Facebook group or via email.
While fundraising is optional for this event, many participants choose to support a cause close to their heart by setting up a Facebook fundraiser. The platform allows you to raise funds entirely for your chosen charity with no fees deducted. Share your journey and inspire others along the way as you celebrate both personal achievement and charitable giving on one of Ireland’s most celebrated trails.
Join this unique challenge that honors not only the physical feat but also the rich history and stunning scenery of the Wicklow Way.
