About the Event

Join the Gardaí Helping Seriously Ill Children challenge and support Little Blue Heroes, an organization dedicated to providing care for seriously ill children across Ireland. This flexible fundraising initiative allows participants to choose their own distance and exercise form—running, walking, cycling, or any other activity that suits them—to complete until they hit their target kilometers. Participants can start anytime from the beginning of August but have the option to finish by the end of December.
The challenge honors Amira ó Toole Rauf, an honorary Garda who sustained life-changing injuries in a road traffic collision and continues to inspire with her resilience and determination. By participating, you not only celebrate Amira’s spirit but also help raise funds for Little Blue Heroes, ensuring they can continue their vital work supporting children and families in need.
The event encourages everyone from the Bling Hunters community and beyond to get involved and make a difference. While fundraising is optional, any contributions will go directly towards helping seriously ill children across Ireland.
