About the Event

Step Into Spring is an invigorating way to welcome spring in West Chicago. Scheduled for Saturday, April 10, 2027, this family-friendly event features both a certified 5K run and a fun 1-mile youth race along the scenic Illinois Prairie Path.
The races start at Reed-Keppler Park's Zone 250 (located at 250 W National Street), offering runners picturesque views of blooming nature trails as they navigate through the park. The 5K event kicks off at 8:00 AM, followed by the youth race starting at 9:00 AM.
Participants in the 5K will receive a Fit4Fall 5K shirt upon registration and have the opportunity to pick up swag bags for an additional perk if they are among the first 75 registrants. Families running with four or more members can also enjoy a $5 discount on their total checkout fee, making it easier than ever to join in as a group.
The event promises not only challenging terrain and beautiful scenery but also a vibrant post-race celebration that includes live entertainment and refreshments for all attendees. Don't miss the chance to experience spring's arrival with this unique community gathering at Reed-Keppler Park.
