The second edition of this celebrated trail running event returns on March 22, 2027, with renowned pro-trail runner Ichi Kiba as an advisor. Set against the backdrop of Wakitama's lush natural landscapes and rich history, participants will experience a course that showcases the area’s unique beauty and charm.
This year, organizers have introduced a new "Beginner Class" for children aged 9 years old and up, making it easier than ever for young runners to join in. The event now offers four distinct courses: Long Course (25km), Middle Course (16km), Short Course (8km), and the Beginner Class tailored specifically for newcomers.
The scenic trails wind through the majestic Wakik Alps, offering breathtaking views of rolling hills and dense forests. Each course presents a different level of challenge to cater to all experience levels, from seasoned trail runners to beginners looking to explore the outdoors in a supportive environment.
Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the region’s natural beauty while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. The event also includes discounts for residents of Wakitama: 500 yen off each course registration fee. For those running with their children, guardians accompanying young participants are admitted free of charge.
Registration fees vary depending on age and course selection:
- Long Course (25km): General Admission - ¥14,000; Under 23 - ¥11,000
- Middle Course (16km): General Admission - ¥9,000; Under 23 - ¥7,000
- Short Course (8km): General Admission - ¥6,000; Under 23 - ¥5,000
- Beginner Class: Ages 14 and up - ¥3,000; Ages 9 to 13 - ¥2,000
