USOL Trail Challenge

Step into the heart of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Vaugneray for the USOL Trail Challenge. Organized by dedicated volunteers from USOL Trail, this event welcomes runners of all levels to explore the forest trails of Ouest Lyonnais. As you navigate through rugged terrain, keep an eye out for legendary landmarks like the Col de la Fausse and breathtaking views of Mont Blanc.
Choose between two endurance formats: a 12-hour solo or relay race covering a loop with a cumulative elevation gain of 330 meters over 6.5 kilometers, or extend your adventure to 24 hours on an 8.1-kilometer route that climbs 410 meters per lap. Breaks and team rotations are encouraged as you push the limits in this scenic setting.
The event hub buzzes with energy from a passionate volunteer crew and local Valnégriens, who also showcase regional delicacies such as pike quenelles, pâté en croûte, and cervelle de canut. Post-challenge, unwind in nearby Lyon, exploring its historic Vieux Lyon district or the majestic Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière.
