About the Event

Minabe Town is known for plum groves that stretch across gentle mountain slopes along the Minabe River. The course runs through the countryside, part of an area recognized as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System, and the organizers hope the race will introduce more people to Minabe as Japan's top plum village and spread the town's catchphrase, Sports = Plum, nationwide. Two races are offered: a 10 km Short and a 27 km Middle. Both start at the former Takagi Junior High School, with the Short finishing at Kiyokawa Stadium and the Middle back at the start.
