You’re in Ouarzazate , the gateway to the desert, ready to live a unique experience that blends sport, adventure, and solidarity 🤝. Yes, that’s right: the Ultra Trail Relay Morocco ! A 85 km challenge, on foot, in relay , or by bike , that will make you vibrate louder than a Bendir 🎶. You can take on this challenge solo, or share the adventure with friends, family, or even that coworker who runs faster than their shadow 🏃‍♂️. In solo , you take on the 85 km like a warrior 🦸‍♀️, but in a duo , it’s 51 km each, and in a team of 4 , it’s 25 short kilometers per person to swallow like a nice hot mint tea 🍵. Doing the course with others allows you and your teammates to challenge yourselves on routes that are more or less long depending on your fitness level and what you feel like! 🧞‍♂️ The organization has thought of everything to make you feel as pampered as possible 💋. With your bib, they’ll pick you up at the airport 🛬 like a princess/prince 👸, to take you to your hotel in downtown Ouarzazate , where you’ll be accommodated and fed for 3 nights ! On top of that, on the 4th day of your stay, you’ll head out on an excursion 📸. You’ll be able to enjoy tea with locals and immerse yourself in the local culture. Ouarzazate and its surroundings are a movie set 🎥. Literally: many legendary films were shot here 🍿. But this time, you’re the star ⭐. The route takes you through the edges of the film studio (shooting side) , a paradise at more than 1,200 m altitude . The race is open to everyone and can be done at any pace. You can of course go all out to chase performance 💥, but you can also walk and admire the palm groves and the crossing through this beautiful rocky desert 🏜️. The UTRM was born from the Endur’Ensemble association, which works to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of practicing sport, including during illness 🤝. The Ultra Trail Relay Morocco is therefore not just a race; it’s a cause . Here, every stride counts—not only for you, but for all those who fight with courage 🩷. In the Drâa-Tafilalet region, where Ouarzazate is located, temperatures in May are very high 🌡️. The climate is desert, but it isn’t as dry as the Saharan climate ☀️. The mountains bring a breath of fresh air that will help keep you from drying out too much during the race! 🌬️ That said, don’t forget to gear up accordingly: you’ll obviously need clothing suited to the environment you’re going to face.
